The 5th Amendment

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

I think that this is a very important amendment due to the fact that people shouldn't be able to be a witness against himself in a criminal case, because that wouldn't really be fair. The part of this amendment i don't agree with is the eminent domain part, because if the land was taken and give fair compensation for the land but sold to a private company to build a Walmart or a mall, that's not really fair. A lot of the times the compensation isn't really fair anyway, it's normally very low.

I thought that this video was a very good and funny representation of some of the self incriminating things that the 5th amendment protects you from.

Really? If you don't ever talk to the cops then it obviously looks incriminating in itself. I think this guy is just trying to get more money for himself because if you go to court over it, I'm sure he'd be happy to represent you.
