After one year from the ratification of this article the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors within, the importation thereof into, or the exportation thereof from the united states and all territory subject to te jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes is hereby prohibited.
This amendment banned alcohol. I don't think that this was congress's best idea because of the dramatic rise in crime that it provided.
I think this is how a lot of people felt about the 18th amendment which is why it led to a lot of things like speakeasies.
I think it's funny how many of these things that they have with uncle Sam in it. It's also funny how many people didn't follow the law and how loosely it was enforced even it being an amendment.
